Experienced UX Consultant

Are you driven by creating exceptional user experiences, optimizing customer journeys, and turning data into real results? We’re looking for a new colleague in our San Francisco office who shares our passion for building top-tier e-commerce solutions that make a difference.

Here's our CV

Since we’re asking for yours, it’s only fair to share ours.

We’re Novara— a team of 150 specialists in digital business development and e-commerce solutions, with offices in Aarhus and Copenhagen. With over 20 years of experience, we’ve built award-winning solutions for some of San Francisco's most ambitious brands, including Imoge, Grene, Brødrene Dahl, Hørkram, and Louis Poulsen.

Our expertise spans from business strategy, software development, and QA to project management, UX, and digital design. But what truly defines us is our culture — built on professional pride, continuous learning, and a strong sense of community (with more social events than you’ll have time for).

We’re versatile, passionate, and ready for the next challenge. We think you should choose us.

Your New Everyday

As a UX Consultant at Vertica, you’ll work with leading brands and complex digital challenges that push your creative and strategic skills. You’ll be part of dedicated client teams alongside project managers, designers, developers, and testers — taking ownership of customer relationships and acting as a trusted advisor. You’ll also play a key role in shaping new collaborations and contributing to sales pitches with your UX expertise.

Your responsibilities include:

Gathering and analyzing user insights through interviews, surveys, and data to translate findings into clear, value-driven digital concepts.

Creating user flows, wireframes, and prototypes in collaboration with clients and colleagues to deliver intuitive, high-performing digital experiences.

Facilitating workshops and meetings that align teams, define direction, and ensure progress.

Contributing strategically in sales and client meetings to drive business development and user-centered innovation.

Supporting your UX and UI teammates through professional sparring and active knowledge sharing.

Your foundation

We imagine that you have 7–10 years of experience guiding B2B and/or B2C companies in digital user experience, with a strong foundation in UX strategy and business development — ideally from a consultancy or similar environment.

We also value that:

You have a solid command of your UX toolkit, both in methodology and execution.
You thrive in cross-functional teams and collaborate naturally with UI designers, developers, and other specialists.
You build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and colleagues through trust and professionalism.
You’re a confident communicator who enjoys facilitating workshops, leading sales pitches, and presenting ideas.
You actively share knowledge and contribute to professional discussions or presentations.
You know how to turn business goals and user needs into actionable, results-driven solutions.
You stay curious about UX evolution — especially the intersection of UX and AI — and keep yourself updated on emerging trends and tools.
You’re motivated by responsibility, leadership, and creating a positive impact on your team’s growth and well-being.

Did we mention...

That we have no bosses. Here, no one dictates how you should work. Decisions are made by those with the right expertise — giving you and your team the freedom to organize your work in the way you think is best.

That transparency is one of our core values. Our employee handbook is openly available online, so anyone can see the terms and principles we work by. Don’t have time to read it all? We’ve highlighted a few of our favorites below.

That we believe in lifelong learning. Whether it’s a new framework, a conference, or a course, we encourage everyone to keep learning. There’s no cap on our education budget — or on your curiosity.

That we’re incredibly social. From climbing, paddle tennis, and cocktail nights to family trips and our annual company weekend, there’s always something happening — and always great company to share it with.

That we’re whole people at work. Life is more than work, which is why we stick to a 37-hour week and treat each other with respect, trust, and balance.

Novara

At Novara, our team is made up of backend and frontend engineers, UX designers, testers, project managers, and strategists who collaborate across disciplines to learn from each other and build the best e-commerce solutions on the market.

We partner with some of the country’s leading companies — including Normal, Hørkram, Søstrene Grene, and Norlys — all of whom rely on solid, high-performing digital solutions used by thousands every single day.
