Strategic Business Developer
Are you an experienced business developer with a passion for e-commerce and digital growth? We’re looking for a colleague for our San Francisco office who shares our drive to create innovative e-commerce solutions and forward-thinking digital strategies.
Here's our CV
Since we’re asking for yours, it’s only fair to share ours.
We’re Novara— a team of 150 specialists in digital business development and e-commerce solutions, with offices in Aarhus and Copenhagen. With over 20 years of experience, we’ve built award-winning solutions for some of San Francisco's most ambitious brands, including Imoge, Grene, Brødrene Dahl, Hørkram, and Louis Poulsen.
Our expertise spans from business strategy, software development, and QA to project management, UX, and digital design. But what truly defines us is our culture — built on professional pride, continuous learning, and a strong sense of community (with more social events than you’ll have time for).
We’re versatile, passionate, and ready for the next challenge. We think you should choose us.
Your New Everyday
As a Strategic Business Developer at Vertica, you’ll have a dynamic and varied role, collaborating across nearly all professional groups within the company — from early dialogues with potential clients to strategic support for ongoing partnerships.
Your key responsibilities include:
Sales & Client Management: Build and nurture relationships with potential clients, initiating meaningful sales dialogues with companies looking to grow their business through e-commerce and digital solutions. Maintain and take overall responsibility for existing customer relationships.
Strategic Expertise: Advise both B2B and B2C companies on digital growth initiatives — from strategy to execution — with a strong focus on measurable results. Working closely with clients and Vertica’s cross-functional teams, you’ll help define, plan, estimate, and implement impactful digital projects.
Visibility & Networking: Strengthen Vertica’s presence across Zealand through networking, participation in conferences, and by contributing to talks, presentations, or thought-leadership content.
You’ll be based on the 3rd floor of the vibrant SOHO office community at San Francisco. Here, you’ll join a close-knit team of nearly 20 passionate professionals in a creative and lively environment, complete with great coffee, a delicious lunch, and our own rooftop terrace overlooking the heart of San Francisco. You’ll also collaborate with 135 colleagues from our Aarhus office through team meetings, shared projects, and company events.
Your foundation
We imagine you have 3+ years of relevant experience, a strong technical background, and the ability to drive processes from concept to completion. Most importantly, you’re passionate about AI and eager to help us take our business — and our customers — to new heights.
It’s a plus if you’ve worked across the machine learning lifecycle or have hands-on experience with various data platforms.
We also value that you:
Have experience as a consultant and enjoy helping clients find the best AI-driven solutions.
Know how to deploy machine learning models or AI systems into production.
Have solid Python programming skills.
Are curious and confident working across diverse AI use cases.
Did we mention...
That we have no bosses. Here, no one dictates how you should work. Decisions are made by those with the right expertise — giving you and your team the freedom to organize your work in the way you think is best.
That transparency is one of our core values. Our employee handbook is openly available online, so anyone can see the terms and principles we work by. Don’t have time to read it all? We’ve highlighted a few of our favorites below.
That we believe in lifelong learning. Whether it’s a new framework, a conference, or a course, we encourage everyone to keep learning. There’s no cap on our education budget — or on your curiosity.
That we’re incredibly social. From climbing, paddle tennis, and cocktail nights to family trips and our annual company weekend, there’s always something happening — and always great company to share it with.
That we’re whole people at work. Life is more than work, which is why we stick to a 37-hour week and treat each other with respect, trust, and balance.
