Development Of Flyover

Reduced peak travel times by 74% using accelerated construction and AI traffic integration

Highway at Night

Challenge & Innovation

Building a 1.8-mile flyover over live interstate traffic demanded radical engineering. We pioneered "invisible construction": all 124 massive segments were prefabricated 10 miles away using self-compacting concrete with phase-change materials (PCM) for 130°F heat resistance. At night, GPS-guided transporters installed segments within 6-hour windows using hydraulic lift gantries that never touched existing roads.

Results & Legacy

The operational flyover now handles 28,500 vehicles daily with AI-driven adaptive lanes that widen during rush hours using movable barriers. Its integrated photovoltaic skin generates 1.1 GWh annually – powering LED guidance systems that cut night accidents by 57%. Beneath the structure, our "Cool Corridor" initiative dropped ambient temperatures 15°F via misting systems fed by rainwater harvested from the deck.
